Ximena (hee-MEN-ah) is a licensed esthetician and founder of Altum Aesthetics, located in downtown McMinnville, Oregon.

She began her professional journey with beauty and skin care over 15 years ago as a “Beauty Advisor” for a local drug store. That experience was her first introduction to the importance of preventative skin care. After personally trying numerous different products, she recognized her natural skin began to look dull and would have frequent breakouts. This led her down the common path of full coverage foundation, concealers, and refusing to leave her house without any makeup on.

Eventually, Ximena became a mother and began an alternative career in a fast paced environment and put her own self care in the back seat. The bags under her eyes and her dull uneven complexion had her believing that she was not going to be blessed with her grandmother’s ageless genes and would likely look older than her in five years. 

The thought of that sparked a change and Ximena began her endless hours of research on all things skin care. She was enthralled. Once she began to see the results on her own skin, she officially became obsessed! After experiencing the first time confidently leaving home without hiding her makeup free face under a baseball cap, She knew this was her calling and wanted to help others experience that same confidence in themselves.

While continuing to work her stressful job, Ximena enrolled with Spectrum Advanced Aesthetics Institute’s Clinical Master Program to become a Licensed Esthetician. She graduated with honors and was so passionate about this she more than TRIPLED the state required amount of skin treatments in order to be licensed! The experience exceeded her expectations and introduced her to all of the amazing services a career in aesthetics had to offer. 

Altum Aesthetics is a reflection of the passion and care Ximena has for helping others fall in love with themselves over and over again. She continues her journey of self care and is excited to be a part of yours!
